He and his team who witnessed and experienced the struggles of the marginalized communities had come up with good education, gave up their jobs to serve for the people in need.
Social Unit for Community Health & Improvement (SUCHI), which had a humble but a purpose driven beginning in 1983 to empower the underprivileged, marginalized, and the unorganized people of Rayalaseema Region of Andhra Pradesh has its impact on the socioeconomic, cultural, health, and ecological life of people.
However, SUCHI has evolved new policies, programmes, strategies, and working mechanisms to be relevant to the changing socioeconomic, gender, and cultural contexts of the society. Though the geographical areas for work have expanded in Rayalaseema region, SUCHI’s contribution has wider impact and influence in the National and International level.
